__About__
And a fanlisting is a .....?
The long and the short of it: a listing of fans by fans for fans. The point of these babies is for fans of whatever it may be...an anime, a character, a hobby, a movie, etc ...to fuse together in a happy little place where others like you dig the same thing. Slick, ne? This site among so many other fanlistings can be found at The Anime Fanlisting Network.
Kami-sama? The hell?
Kami-sama appears in the "Gensomaden Saiyuki" manga, but finally makes his animated appearance in "Saiyuki Reload."
To sum it up, Kami-sama is well, evil. Evviiiill. Like the "fruits of the devil." Evil.
He loves to surround himself in mystery. Which of course, makes it fun to discover him by peeling away the layers that make this cold and sadistic bastard do the things he does. Like an onion that makes you weep.
Kami-sama, like the toys he loves to be surrounded with, sees living beings as one and the same. Like toys. To be played with and discarded when they wear out. Without an once of regret on his part. Yop. Evil. Maybe a 'few sandwiches short a picnic basket' as well.
And man, does this little priestlet love to giggle. Every chance he gets. It's all too darling.
When asked if he is a Sanzo priest, he just laughs.
His attire certainly leads you to think the same. But why the mirth with no hopes of an answer? Maybe he just digs the comfortable garb.
Maybe he knows of Sanzo hoshi (priests) and finds their way of life all so delightfully hilarious. Maybe he partied with them. Maybe he had a mentor of his own very much like Genjo Sanzo had Koumyou. Maybe he is a Sanzo priest. Who knows?
A self-righteous individual, Kami-sama has that "everyone sucks but me" outlook. And he loves to mess with the Sanzo ikkou's heads. Which is both wicked and absurd. And you cannot get that damn phonograph music out of your head....daaah....
What of this site?
This site was created using Microsoft FrontPage. I've been bottle-fed FP for years, what can I say?
Graphics were scanned, borrowed or screen capped by your dear webmaster and manipulated in a minimalist and modest fashion using Paint Shop Pro.
Fonts abused: Verdana, Violation and visitor TT1.
A humble and respective bow goes to: to everyone who is affiliated with this site, you all are so fantastic and to Dafont.com, and addicted-to-you.org (no longer there, boo) for the techie knowledge I cannot do without.
v 4.0. "God Child". This beautiful scan is from Minekura-sensei's Salty Dog III.
Why "Somewhat Damaged?"
As always, I have the music raging on...my poor 'Polk audio' speakers clinging on desperately for dear life as I jammed to such death pop & rock such as Orgy, TOOL and Nine Inch Nails. It does not take a lot of imagination as to *why* this is a good title, but as I was playing "Somewhat Damaged" by NIN...The relationship of Kami-sama and his mentor Ukoku Sanzo...it was too instantaneous. Music is my life's DJ. Are you the DJ of your own soul?
Somewhat Damaged Lyrics
so impressed with all you do/ tried so hard to be like you
flew too high and burnt the wing/lost my faith in everything
lick around divine debris/taste the wealth of hate in me
shedding skin succumb defeat/this machine is obsolete
made the choice to go away/drink the fountain of decay
tear a hole exquisite red/f*ck the rest and stab it dead
broken bruised forgotten sore/too f*cked up to care anymore
poisoned to my rotten core/too f*cked up to care anymore
in the back off the side far away is a place where I hide where I stay tried to say tried to ask I needed to all alone by myself where were you?
how could I ever think it's funny how everything that
swore it wouldn't change is different now just like you
would always say we'll make it through then my head fell apart and where were you?
how could I ever think it's funny how everything you swore would never change is different now like you said you and me make it
through didn't quite fell apart where the f*ck were you?
But still....why Kami-sama?
Ok, it was purely physical. Really. Being a Saiyuki fan only since May 2003, I naturally hoarded all the artbooks by the smashing Kazuya Minekura-senpai I could get my hands on. Flipping thru the sensuous "Salty Dog I," I came across this "Minekura Masculine Beauty" clutching a handful of candy.
"And who is THIS lovely creature?"
After uncovering the truth about this malicious and manipulating man...with a name that means "god".....I could only think...
"Wow, how arrogant...how awesome!"
As you can see, it was too late. I was hooked. Sad really.
