actors behind the godling

These fab men breath life to our dear Prince of War, thus raising the roof on swooning and sighing.....

Japanese: Toshiyuki Morikawa

birthday: January 26, 1967 ~ birthplace: Kanagawa ~ blood type: O ~ nickname: Mori-Mori *

A prolific seiyuu, Toshiyuki Morikawa (or Morikawa Toshiyuki, since his given name is Toshiyuki) has voiced tons of anime...Yami no Matsuei**, Slam Dunk, Saint Beast, Please Save My Earth, Marmalade Boy, Executive Committee**...to name a very few...

He has a deep, gorgeous gruff quality about his vocals that fit Homura to perfection.

**loved him in these roles as well.

English: Jason Douglas

Mr. Douglas has voiced quite a few anime in his own right....Generator Gawl, Gasaraki,  Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, Excel Saga...to name a few...

My favorites include "Chiyo-Dad" (aka Chiyo Chichi) from Azumanga Daioh; "Father Remington" from Chrno Crusade, Sanosuke Harada from "Peacemaker Kurogane" and the hilarious Takeshi Hokuto from "Cromartie High School" (Sakigake!! Cromartie Koukou).

Interesting to note... his voice as "Lord Illpilatzo" from Excel Saga shows that he has done this world conqueror gig before!

He has been breaking into  mainstream film and television work. Most notably, he played the hitman hired to kill Marv in Robert Rodríguez's 2005 film adaptation of Frank Miller's "Sin City" graphic novels; also in 2005, he appeared as Tom Cooper in the TNT miniseries Into the West, produced by Steven Spielberg.

Currently, Mr. Douglas is set to appear in the upcoming Richard Linklater film A Scanner Darkly . He has also recently completed shooting supporting roles in several feature films, including No Country For Old Men, directed by Joel and Ethan Coen.

Some find him to bear an uncanny resemblance to Michael Madsen.

Jason currently is married, with two kids.

He is 6'4 and 1/2.

As far as his work as Homura...I believe he was aptly cast. His condescending baritone give Homura a similar sensuous throaty quality. I happen to dig it *a lot.*
