The long and the short of it: a listing of fans by fans for fans. The point of these babies is for fans of whatever it may be...an anime, a character, a hobby, a movie, etc ..to fuse together in a happy little place where others like you dig the same thing. Homura who?

Hmmm, if you have gotten this far, you *must* know the answer to this one! But if you are curious, here is a bit of info...and this is the part where I say "Oh, no...no, please stop, little miniscule yet vague spoilers ahead." Now that I have that out of the way.....

In the series, "Gensomaden Saiyuki", Homura is the Toushin Taishi (some interpretations: "crown prince of war" or the "god of war"), who is the successor of Nataku. His most notable physical quality...is that he has the most gorgeous mismatched eyes, one swimmingly blue eye and a dazzling golden eye. However, like the tell-tell signs of mixed demon/human parentage in Sha Gojyo, with his red hair and eyes, Homura's unusual eye color also reveal his own "diverse" background. However, unlike Gojyo, Homura's parents were not demon and human but of another variety. (well, I shan't spoil everything here...) Homura's "less than ideal" childhood left him with a bitter taste in his mouth toward, well, just about everyone. Typical for a gorgeous anime character to have such a tragic and angst-filled past, ne? Then he met a fantastic "goddess" (no, really, a goddess...hehe) and fell in love. But does happiness follow this sweet encounter? A happy ending?

Or, perhaps, events in store for Homura will just get more compelling with its many twists and turns that will eventually lead to meeting Sanzo, Hakkai, Gojyo and Goku. And to top it all off, Homura has an interesting little plan in store for humanity and the heavens....but can it be accomplished, and at what price?

Why "The Grand Inevitable?"

Hehe, this name came about as I was drawing near the completion of this site. I was stumped for a title and asked my husband and fellow Saiyuki fan for suggestions. At the time, he was not really familiar with Homura and asked what the site was about. After I gave a background on Homura and explained for the umpteenth time what a fanlisting was...he held his hands in the air as if he saw it in "lights" like on Broadway....

He said "How about .... 'Sh%t on a Stick'?"

Jai: Go to hell! *hits him with paper fan*

"Ok...then...how about 'The Grand Inevitable'?"

He really had no idea how well that actually fit considering his lack of knowledge of Homura. He got this name from the independent movie "Sugartown." It stuck. It was certainly much better than "Bondage Biseinen" LMAO.
